Personnel that have previously completed either 40-hour or 24-hour HAZWOPER training are required to complete an annual 8-hour refresher course to maintain their credentials. The 8-hour HAZWOPER course through Conney Safety is designed to meet that requirement. During this one-day course, a qualified safety professional will deliver training that includes the following as it pertains to responding to the uncontrolled release of hazardous materials: Work environment, physical and health hazards • Hierarchy of Control/Hazard Assessments Personal Protective Equipment Respiratory Protection Foot Protection Head Protection Eye/Face Protection Hand Protection EPA’s Levels of Protection (A,B,C and D) Site Monitoring Site Characterization and Analysis • Decontamination Procedures Excavations/Trenching Safety Confined Space Entry Safety |
