Is your business prepared for a possible face mask mandate? As coronavirus persists across the U.S., some state and local governments are issuing face mask mandates.

As of Monday, July 13th, everyone who goes inside a business or building in Wisconsin’s Dane County must wear a face mask, per a recent mandate. In addition, Governor Tony Evers is considering a statewide mask mandate.

The mandate covers all businesses, health care settings, public transportation and other people’s homes. There are some exceptions, including for those with conflicting medical conditions. An education/enforcement team will help ensure compliance through a $376 fine in Madison and a $263.50 fine for businesses located elsewhere in Dane County.

Certified Safety Planners strongly urge businesses to plan ahead by stocking up on face masks now. Whether you need disposable or reusable masks, Conney Safety has a variety of respirators and masks in stock and ready to ship. Having masks on hand before a mandate is issued will help ensure your business continuity and calm customer concerns.
