May | Electrical Safety Month
As one of the leading causes of workplace injuries, tackling electrical safety is an essential part of any safety program. The Electrical Safety Foundation lists 166 fatalities in the year 2019 alone, and over 1900 nonfatal electrical injuries for the same year.
As part of Electrical Safety Month, our Conney Certified Safety Experts have compiled the following resources to bring further awareness to these preventable injuries:
- Electrocution is the fifth leading cause of work place fatalities in the U.S. One to two fatalities occur daily due to arc flash in North America. 97% of all electricians have been shocked or injured on the job. Click here to read more about ARC Flash Accident-Injury Statistics.
- Click here to download Arc Flash Ready Reference.

Every 30 minutes during the standard workday, a worker suffers an electrically induced injury that requires time off from the job for recovery. These injuries can be prevented: contact one of our safety experts today to learn about the products, training, and services that can make your work environment safer.
